The circuit court doesn’t have a voice messaging system. I wonder why.

It would appear as if my citynethost server was down yet again. I would highly recommend finding another host, should you be considering. The ping is terribly high, and Servers are constantly going down. Totally unreliable.
Their bare bones service, is roughly $5 / month. ($60/year) I guess I lucked out with my 50% discount. (google citynethost promotion) But I gotta say, I would be really pissed had I purchased one of their higher tier servers.
This overall was a learning experience for me. I was exposed to wikileaks, egypts massacre, and rapnews! The most valuable thing I learned is that you get what you pay for.
I found that Amazon is offering a year promotion for new customers on their EC2 Micro servers. Which basically translates into a whole year free.

UHm, you turned off the internet thinking that it would help your situation?
At this point I’m not even sure what the sheeple of the United States would do should you turn off their internet.
Do you suppose the USA would react the same if their government tried to silence them ? Or would you suspect their people to just turn their heads again ?

OMGZ this is crazy.
Confirming what a few have reported this evening: in an action unprecedented in Internet history, the Egyptian government appears to have ordered service providers to shut down all international connections to the Internet. Critical European-Asian fiber-optic routes through Egypt appear to be unaffected for now. But every Egyptian provider, every business, bank, Internet cafe, website, school, embassy, and government office that relied on the big four Egyptian ISPs for their Internet connectivity is now cut off from the rest of the world. Link Egypt, Vodafone/Raya, Telecom Egypt, Etisalat Misr, and all their customers and partners are, for the moment, off the air.
This goes to show that the government can take away the internet that we have become so comfortable with at any time. For now, and at least for us I suppose, the internet remains a place of freedom.

So I bought a VPS for $30/ year.
It has all the bells. Complete VPS server with 1gb burst ram.
citynethost.comIt seems as if my newly acquired web host is ironically experiencing it’s .1% downtime ratio at this exact moment!
How Amazing!I sorta want a refund…
High ping, it’s a good dev box though.Checkout my DNS server »dnsyo.com (When it’s back online that is)

The Dell Inspiron 1545 was very easy to get Snow Leopard up and running on. The drive bay hardware / function is supremely rad, so swapping out hard drives was very inviting. I decided to give it a go. After a few google searches, I found the information available to be a little confusing. SO, I have decided to explain my process.
Here is what I did:
Get yourself a copy of Snow Leopard. I had 10.6.2 already on a USB stick from my previous mac ownership days.
I started with SH Boot 123 Chameleon RC3 (google it).
Make a boot disk, do all of the “Post-Install” items in the CD except the Voodoo sound one, I used this great resource, upgraded to Chameleon RC4 by downloading the Patch by Deviato. (Chameleon MR2). Which fixes your display. Also, get your sound and wifi drivers there too. And Voila! A mac on the cheap!! Now I can run Coda and all of my favorite OSX applications without being taxed by Apple.
My only problem is that I cannot get dual monitors working. Ideally, I would like to plug into my 27″ at work.

Hopefully I will find an answer to this. Otherwise, I’ll be swapping the Win7 HD back into this baby come Tuesday.Happy New Year!

Got my internet situation figured out at the shop, and now that it’s the weekend, have time to work on this beauty. She’s very near, just a few small bits remaining. I got spark before I left for home. Points were constantly grounded. It was missing one of the plastic pieces, so I swapped em out and now the spark is crazy! Now I just need that stupid plastic fuel piece on a dellorto 14/12 carburetor.
Peace N Moped grease.

If for some reason you havent heard, HTML5 is almost fully supported by all standard browsers. Therefore, I have launched a pure HTML5 only version of my site uphillbattle.info. If for some reason the site looks bad to you, please use one of the more standard internet browsers for optimal viewing.
Check it out!!! Thanks for all constructive criticism.
